Update (1/18): The Gluttoness found out that after the lease runs out, Joey plans on opening a real restaurant just a few blocks away. Woot! (Found via Eater. By the way, Eater, thanks for using my photo without crediting/linking to the source and for mentioning Serious Eats without a link. Um, yeah. If anyone else out there runs a group blog, this is the kind of behavior you want to avoid. It's strange coming from Eater because they're not n00bs and they know who we are at Serious Eats. But I don't see the point in bringing up the rules of attribution to them since they don't seem to give a crap.)
Original entry below.
On of my favorite sandwicheries, Crosby Connection, is going to lose its lease on February 1st! WHAT THE FUXORZ? The place is only the size of a friggin' shoebox (er, 45 square feet), pumps out awesome sandwiches for $5-$7 (along with huge, tasty brownies) and is run by very nice people. I've been there a number of times—I know what I'm talking about.
If you've never been there before, visit it at 172 Crosby Street (before 4PM; unfortunately it has an early closing time). And then check out this info on how to prevent the death of Crosby Connection. Because when a good sandwicherie dies, so does a part of your soooouuul.

Thanks for the heads up, would have had no idea if I didn't check your blog this morning. CROSBY CONNECTION cannot close!!!! :( FUXOURED is the right word...
Dangit, I hate when great little places are forced out of business! That happened recently to a little Mom n Pop sushi joint close to my house. One minute, Mishima, the next minute ... somethin else. =( I hope you folks can save Crosby!
They're gonna be ok! Yay! They're actually moving to a larger space (i.e. restaurant) a few blocks away where they were. Read this post.
